Timing System for Fast CAT

Do you need a timing system for Fast CAT events but not for agility trials? Our new Fast CAT timing system can save you hundreds of dollars off the cost of an agility timer, and at the same time, offer several advantages versus the agility timer when timing Fast CAT.

Note: The Fast CAT light curtain is also used for a rodeo event called "roping." The picture below is the only good photo we presently have that shows hows the light curtain works. Please send us your pictures of the light curtain in use so we can update this page!

The unique light curtain design uses a single point light source (the photo-transmitter) which sends a beam of light that spreads out and is picked up by the two foot vertical extent of the receiving light curtain. This design increases the beam span of the curtain and reduces its cost. However, it does require that the single point light source be placed beyond the width of the track for proper operation as illustrated below. Fast CAT Timing System
Includes the Polaris timer console, two Fast CAT light curtains, two photo-transmitters, two tripods, a hard shell carrying case with custom foam cutouts, and the first set of batteries.

The light curtain can be mounted to a pole, T-post, etc., in a variety of ways including tie-wraps, 1/4-20 screws, or our adjustable Quick-Mounts (typically two mounts per light curtain are required, add below).

7 Inch LED Scoreboard
Includes the 7 inch LED scoreboard and 50 feet of cable to connect the Polaris console to the scoreboard.

Wireless Scoreboard Interface
With the wireless scoreboard interface, you do not have to run the data cable from the Polaris console to the scoreboard. The scoreboard still requires AC power.
Scoreboard Stand
When there is not a good location from which the scoreboard can be hung, the scoreboard stand is a great way to increase the visibility of either of our LED scoreboards. Extends up to nine feet in height, collapses to about 57 inches. Note: Guy-wires and/or bagging are required for windy conditions.
Computer Interface Cable
The computer interface cable provides a connection between the Polaris timer console and a serial or USB port on a computer for record keeping. Includes a free 30-day trial of our Timer Interface Software. Event-management software packages from third parties are listed here.
Replacement Tripods
Note: Our tripods are standard camera tripods and may be replaced with a make and model found at your local department store.
